Frequenty Asked Questions

What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane are made up of hyaluronic acid or in the case of Radiesse, calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel. Dermal fillers are used in non-surgical facial contouring — a process where dermal fillers are injected into areas of the face to improve, enhance or give volume helping to take years off your age or improve your overall appearance. Commonly treated areas include: smile lines, nasolabial folds, lips, wrinkles around nose and mouth. Results are immediate.
Are dermal filler treatments safe and how long do they last?
Juvéderm, Restylane and Radiesse are FDA-approved for safety and reliability with results lasting up to one year.
How much do dermal filler treatments cost?
Dermal filler treatments are customized for each patient so the price varies. The type of dermal filler and the number of syringes used depend on individual facial characteristics and personal aesthetic goals. Our experienced doctors will determine the exact treatments needed to help you achieve the best results.

Is injection with dermal fillers painful? How long is the treatment?
Some discomfort may be experienced during treatment with dermal fillers. To make the process more comfortable, the doctor may apply anesthetic treatment to the area before injection. Treatments are typically completed in 30-45 minutes.
Can I combine Botox and dermal filler treatments?
Yes. Patients often combine Botox with dermal filler treatments within the same session. Can I have dermal filler treatment on the day of an event?
We recommend planning your treatment at least 2 weeks prior to any special event. While most side effects are rare and mild to moderate in nature, these can include temporary injections site reactions such as redness and swelling. These conditions typically resolve on their own.
