
Aduki (adzuki) beans influence the heart and small intestines, are high in protein and calcium, and are easy to digest.

Recipe:

• 5 inches kombu (seaweed), soaked
• 2 cups aduki beans, soaked (for one hour)
• 1 cup dried apples, soaked
• 1 cup raisins, soaked
• 5-6 cups water (including apple and raisin soak water)
• 1/4-1/2 tsp sea salt

Place kombu on bottom of pot. Place apples and raisins on top of kombu. Add beans and water, bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until almost done. Add sea salt, continue to cook about 15 minutes until soft. Serve and enjoy!
